形容詞比較級的用法 

1、表示兩者進行比較時用形容詞比較級，其結構為“A+謂語+比較級+than +B”。如：Cherie's room is bigger than mine.李莉的房間比我的房間大。

2、有表示程度的副詞a little,a bit, a lot,much, even, still,far,rather,any等修飾時，如：It is much colder today than before.今天比以前冷多了。 

3、表示兩者之間進行選擇“哪一個更……”時，用句型“Which/Who is +形容詞比較級，A or B?”表示。如：Who is taller,Li Ming or Wang Tao?李明和王濤誰更高？

4、表示“比…大/老/長…”時，用“數詞+名詞+比較級+than...This tree is three meters longer than that one.這棵樹比那棵高三米。

5、表示“兩者之間較……一個（of the two）”時，常用“the+比較級”結構。如：Mary is the taller of the twins.瑪麗是雙胞胎中較高的那個。

6、表示“越來越……”，用比較級重疊結構，即“比較級+and+比較級”，多音節詞和部分雙音節詞時用“more and more+形容詞原級”。如：It's getting warmer and warmer in spring.春天天氣變得越來越暖和。　　Our hometown is becoming more and more beautiful.我們的家鄉變得越來越漂亮。

7、表示比較的一方的程度隨另一方的程度的變化而變化，“越……就越……”時，用“the+比較級，the+比較級“結構,如：　　The warmer the weather is, the better I feel.天氣越暖和我感覺越舒服。 



形容詞最高級的用法 

1、表示三者或三者以上的人或物進行比較時，用最高級形式。形容詞最高級前必須加定冠詞the，句末常跟一個in/of短語來表示范圍。如：He is the strongest of the three boys.他是三個男孩中最強壯的一個。 

2、表示在三者或三者以上的人或物中進行選擇時，用“Which/Who is +the+最高級，A,B or C?”結構。如：Who sings best,your father,your mother or your brother? 你爸爸、媽媽或你哥哥，誰唱的最好？ 

3、表示“最……的……之一”時，用“one of the+形容詞最高級”結構，Sandra is one of the most outstanding students inour class.桑朵拉是我們班上最有創意的學生之一。

4、形容詞最高級前面可以加序數詞，表示“第幾最……”。如：Changjiang is the first longest river in China.長江是中國第一大長河。 

5、形容詞最高級前面可以有物主代詞，指示代詞，名詞所有格等修飾，但此時不能再用定冠詞the。如：This is our　last lesson today.這是我們今天的最后一節課。Yesterday was his busiest day.昨天是他最忙的一天。

6、形容詞比較級結構可以表示最高級含義。如：Cherie is the tallest student in his class.切麗是班上最高的學生。=Cherie is taller than any other student in his class. 切麗比班上其他任何一個學生都高。=Cherie is taller than the other students in his class.切麗比班上其他所有的學生都高。=Cherie is taller than anyone else in his class.切麗比班上其他任何人都高。
